How We Work

Three simple steps to a confident choice

See each provider and medication side by side: what’s included, the form, and whether it’s FDA-approved or compounded.

Starting self-pay prices at a glance

The lowest standard monthly price for each medication, straight from the manufacturer’s own pharmacy. Higher doses often cost more, so open a medication to see its full price ladder.

Lowest standard self-pay price per month from each manufacturer’s own pharmacy. Introductory offers and insurance prices are excluded. Medications, doses and approved uses differ, so this is a price reference, not a treatment comparison.

Prices you can trust

We check prices on the manufacturer’s or provider’s own site and show the date. If we can’t confirm a price, we say so.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. We label them on every card so you never have to guess.

Managing Compounded GLP 1 Medications HERO
Is TirzaSema a pharmacy or a telehealth provider?

No. TirzaSema is an independent comparison site. We do not prescribe, sell, compound or ship any medication, and nothing on this site is medical advice.

What is the difference between brand-name and compounded GLP-1s?

Brand-name medicines such as Wegovy and Zepbound are approved by the FDA. Compounded drugs are prepared by pharmacies and are not FDA-approved, which means the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are sold. We label clearly which is which.

Why does the same medication have different prices?

Price depends on the dose, the form (pen, vial or tablet), whether you use insurance, introductory offers and program rules. For example, Lilly’s $449 self-pay price for higher Zepbound doses requires each refill within 45 days of the previous delivery.

How current are the prices?

Each price shows the date we last checked it against the official source. When we cannot confirm a price, we mark it as not verified rather than guessing.

Can people with Medicare use these prices?

Program rules differ by manufacturer. Novo Nordisk says government-insured patients may use its self-pay prices if they pay outside their insurance. Separately, eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries may pay no more than $50 a month for Zepbound under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. Check each medication page for details.

How does TirzaSema make money?

Some links on our site are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions never influence prices shown, rankings or reviews. Read our affiliate disclosure for details.
