Wegovy tablets are a once-daily oral form of semaglutide from Novo Nordisk, approved by the FDA in December 2025. According to Novo Nordisk’s patient information, Wegovy tablets are used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity to help adults with obesity, or overweight with weight-related medical problems, lose weight and keep it off, and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in adults with known heart disease and obesity or overweight. It is not known if Wegovy tablets are safe and effective in people under 18.
